24-year old Olympic hopeful has testicular cancer
Not to get all preachy or public service-y on my blog, but seriously, check yourself people. Doesn’t matter how old you are, if you’re a man or a woman, or what kind of shape you’re in; pick the appropriate parts, and check yourself on a monthly basis.
One of my best friends was recently treated for testicular cancer, and today happens to be the 23rd anniversary of my father entering the hospital, in a coma, because the testicular cancer he was unaware of having had spread throughout his entire body. It was too late.
I know you’re going to read this mom; please know that I’m thinking about you and dad today. Love you.
